Autonomous a2z,
with Ways1, a company specializing in precision maps for autonomous driving,
and Lumisol, the exclusive domestic distributor of Velodyne, the global leader
in lidar, an essential sensor for autonomous driving, on July 30, August 6 , an
MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed for strategic business
cooperation. Through this cooperation,
we plan to expand the business cooperation of Autonomous a2z, such as advancing
the implementation of autonomous driving solution technology and securing a
sales network for the LiDAR SDK that we will develop and supply.
Ways1, Builds Precision Maps for Autonomous Driving
Through this cooperation, Ways1 will supply precise maps for autonomous driving to Autonomous a2z, and will cooperate with each other to develop autonomous driving-related technologies. Autonomous driving precision map refers to information on lanes (regulatory lines, road boundary lines, stop lines, lane center lines), road facilities (median strips, tunnels, bridges, underpasses), and sign facilities (traffic safety signs, road surface signs, signal flags) necessary for autonomous driving. It is a three-dimensional electronic map that must be built for precise autonomous vehicle operation.
Ways1 is Korea's top self-driving precision map builder, and is developing technologies using Navigation Map and Mobile Mapping System data. A synergy effect with Autonomous a2z is expected in the autonomous vehicle field.
LiDAR sensor software development kit' released and sales started with Lumisol
Autonomous a2z is preparing to launch the 'LiDAR Sensor Software Development Kit, LiDAR SDK', and is in full-fledged cooperation with Lumisol for joint marketing and sales. The 'LiDAR Sensor Software Development Kit' is a development tool that supports LiDAR algorithm development, enabling LiDAR sensor interworking and data management algorithm confirmation and analysis. Lumisol is the Korean distributor of Velodyne, a global LiDAR company, and provides products and solutions. This decision was made in a blitz in the judgment that it will help achieve the goal and joint development between the two companies to broaden the market for LiDAR sensor algorithm development.
